The extensional structuring of the Maures massif was accommodated by ductile to ductile-brittle top-to-the-NW shear zones, which separate successive northwestward-dipping units. The described model interprets all post-Sn deformation as increments of the late-orogenic extension during a period of retrograde metamorphism Morillon, ; Morillon et zone de cisaillement.
